Default fibre glass pools

Have noticed small black marks appearing in my fibre glass pool. Marks are best described as the ones you would see if you left a cigarette on plastic.
Any one any idea what it is, or what causes it?
(sensible answers only please).

Most fibreglass pools will develop black-spot on the surface. This type of black-spot is not a bacteria but a mineral that bleeds from the inner skin of the fibreglass. It’s appearance can be delayed and controlled if the water Ph. is kept around 7.2.
