Default Fed up of the wet season

Im going stir crazy and longing for the dry season to arrive. Im sick of having a house that resembles a laundry as i try and dry clothes as everytime i risk putting the clothes out when im at work it chucks it down.
Im constantly having to take spare clothes for me to change as meeting clients or other health proffesionals while looking like a drowned rat is not a good look lol.
My brolly is huge but still i get wet, i wear a jacket but risk overheating.
I ask the locals when the dry season starts and so far ive been told, it starts end of March, sometime in April, or probably not till May or June. How can there be so many answers to one question lol.
Apart from that Darwin is not too bad

I think you guys have had it tough this wet season (massive understatement). Some quick stats:

Feb 2010: total rain = 428mm; total sun = 208 hrs
Feb 2011: total rain = 1,110mm; total sun = 123 hrs

Mar 2010: total rain = 198mm; total sun = 257 hrs (or 8.3 hrs/day average)
Mar 2011 (to date): total rain = 110mm; total sun = 3.0 hrs/day

Us Sydneysiders are also going through a right cloud fest here the last 2 months but strangely it hasn't rained much (just "constipated" weather )

I was in Cairns last week and the locals were looking forward to the end of the wet. Stuff was just going moldy and the volume of rain every day was immense. I found the humidity almost suffocating to work in.

Saw a report on the news of several businesses in FNQ just cutting their losses and moving away. It's just the "wet" but we havent had one like this for a few years

Weve had the laundry look for about 4 months, gave up now, always end up using the dryer so much in summer. With that and the AC on some days I am terrified of the elec bill coming, OMG.

So over heat and humidity its not funny, even our blinds went mouldy, all need chucking out and will cost over $1000 to replace.

Winter ( if its a dry one ) in much of OZ is the best time, pity it only lasts 2 months. We chopped up firewood on the weekend, great fun as it was still 30C and humid but thats how much we are looking forward to winter

We have mould growing up the laundry room wall and in the garage. I use my tumble dryer loads but cant use it for all of the clothes as some would shrink or melt.
So looking forward to the dry season starting

I am very much over the wet season this year but it has been particularly bad & the fact that dry season was not very dry last year, did not help! We have mould growing all over the place, despite fans & A/C.
Roll on April!

We are going to be in the 30s for most of next week in Perth, been quite nice weather really. It will be 32 degrees when Dad lands on Sunday
