My all time classic favourite which is a mood enhancing song is, 'If you are going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair......'
I don't know why, but it always makes me smile, not that I am a real hippy or anything cos I was born in 1968.
I also love 'the gambler' by kenny rogers a great old bbq song when the drink is in, also love amy winehouse, but I can't sing her songs, I think only she can do that. Makeup can sometimes be as dodgy as hers though, especially when I re-apply it dwunk.

My music collection is very eclectic - everything from opera to jaz to heavy rock to musicals and back again....
My favourites are the singer-songwriters from all era's (Jack Johnson and Xavier Rudd, Newton Faulkner right back to people like James Taylor and Cat Stephens).
Favourite song is called A PIRATE LOOKS OUT AT 40' - my avatar signature on each of my posts has the words 'a pritate looks out at 30' ever since I turned 30 (18 months ago....)
Was a Jimmy Buffet song - has recently been re-done by Jack Johnson...
About a guy looking back at his life when he's 40 thinking that he wasted it and didn't chase his dreams....
second verse:
"Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late,
canon don't thunder, there's nothing to plunder
I'm an under 40 victim of fate ....arriving too late...."
BEST SONG EVER!!
I have hundreds of other 'favourites', this is the best by far
here is the Jack Johnson version.....

Otehr favourite at the moment is 'HOME', also by jack johnson - about how your home is your sanctuary....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULFll...eature=related
"Gotta get home there's a garden to tend, the fruit's on the ground and the birds all have moved back into my attic....."
