I became a bit of a hermit when I was doing the single mum thing and I've found it a bit hard to go back to being the sociable sort of person I was before. I'm quite self-reliant and happy enough with my own company and the animals, who I talk to probably more than is quite sane. I think the other thing that inhibits me now is that I'm genuinely quite surprised when people want to be my friend. I'm a very chatty person so I probably should make more of an effort to regain a social life of sorts. I should probably ponder this further. Dammit, a thought provoking thread on BE, what is the world coming too?

I admit my "nice" factor is a bit worn thin by my job, hence when you meet me in real life WYSIWYG.... Cant be doing the smilie pleasantries and light social chit chat... I have to do that all day... So I tend to be a bit much for some people... A bit full on ....when you spend all day wih a professional cloak on you become more YOU when its off.... But thats ok, you can like me or leave me... It does tend to be one extreme or the other....

if HE isnt about I talk the hind leg off a donkey... When we have mates over I can take a bit of a back seat coz I actually enjoy listening to HIM and what HE has to say..... He doesnt say much but when HE does its usually as funny as or total sense....
