The fast-moving quick-thinking games are the best. One of our favourites is "Pass the bomb". Where you need to think quick to pass the bomb before it goes off in your hands. We've had hours of laughter with that one
Another game we've enjoyed for years has been Rumicub - similar to the rummy card game.
A good point. Also, their online buddies are scattered all over the world - a meet up could get expensive.

When we lived in the UAE, one of the local boys brought a good game into school (which the Aussie teacher quickly confiscated) it was two handles with a pretty good electric current flowing through them - two players would grab hold of the handles at the same time and the winner was the one who could stand the pain the longest - first one to let go lost.

All stand in a line, one hand on the electric fence and see how many pulses up your arm you could stand! Odd sensation.

ppffftttttt, we used to play that game as kids on the electric fences that surrounded some fields near the village I grew up in.
