Not sure it's any consolation for you but having spent much time working in Asia and seeing this happen more times than i care to remember these new relationships don't often work out for the guy and they often end up pretty miserable and a lot lighter in the pocket.

I think your doing the right thing keeping it under wraps until he comes back and you can have an adult chat about this. Once family and friends join in it's hard to find a way back.

And whatever happens,at 42 i can assure you that there is absolutely no reason to think you will be spending the rest of your life alone.

I was over a at a parents of my sons schoolfreinds recently who's father works overseas.... a massive argument erupted between their precocious 16YO daughter and the father who wanted her to turn the TV off as he wanted to play music. He spends a lot of time in Malaysia as a journalist. Imagine my wifes and I surprise as the Daughter screamed at her father "Go back to your Malaysian whore and leave us alone" In front of both her Parents...We didn't know where to look. He looked dead sheepish, especially as he had no answer to his daughters rage.

So good luck with this one NB... seems doomed to failure on everything I've seen and keep it under wraps like everyone else is saying.


BTW I share Papillions view that there is no way you'll spend to much of your life alone.
