Rooksie, if what I'm feeling is just a fraction of what you're going through then naver mind the cookies, get the vodka out woman:lol:

Seriously though, take the advice to just run with your emotions and try to make the most of your last couple of days here. This time next week the sun will be shining;)

It seems to have come round really quickly, one minute you will doing the, 'shall we, should we' bit and the next minute you had sold your house and booked the tickets

It's not going to be easy and I think because we know that 'this is really it now', second time, second chance and we know we have got to try real hard to make it work this time. We cannot come back a second time, too bloody expensive for one thing

Girl, cry if you must, get it out of your system then look forward, this is the path you chose to follow now it's up to you to make it happen.

Go and get that bloody lion, give his mane a tug from me :D

See you one the other side cause we plan to visit.

Mandy

youre right mate - this time we really have burnt all our bridges and no going back and that scares hell out of me

Emotions are a nightmare eh??
I remember the day we actually left the UK. We had said our goodbyes, and I had finally pulled myself together. As we closed the house we took the ramainder of our things to the charity shop next door ( we were staying in a students bed sit after completion on house).
As I walkedi n they had Neil Diamond playing which suddenly took me back to my childhood, when mum played him all the time, which then started me reminicing. I handed over the bags of goodies to the lady in the shop, and promptly burst into tears!!!
Felt a right pillock..............in the middle of a shop...............surrounded by strangers...............sobbing my heart out!!!!

Geez woman! Either you move quickly, or I haven't been checking your threads for a while - 2 days..HOLY COW!!!

Firstly: Your emotions are normal:)

Secondly: GET A GRIP ON YERSELF!!!:thumbsup:

Thirdly: It CAN be done, It HAS been done and YOU will do it this time:cool:

Take it nice and easy and all in your stride and you'll be right, mate!

BTW, you really don't need the kids school records, so that's one job you can avoid...friends however, are a different matter...swallow it, visit, cry heaps and move onwards and upwards. If you don't see them before you go, you'll only feel guilty afterwards. It's all part of the journey, buddy.:)
