Eat well, drink at least 2lt water daily and keep active, but sounds like some are doing this and it still doesnt help.
Sorry to not be more help.x
Oh! ...

Yeah as I say she does all that, but STILL finds it hard to shift it!

MUST be the weather! ... or she wonders if it's something to do with being more relaxed here! ...

The Queenslanders (in general) ARE a relaxed lot, AND a fat lot too! ...

Sorry, but true!

Impacted on something that's fa sure! ...

They say if you're eating right, then it can ONLY be exercise so we've doubled the dog walks and I keep moving swift so she can rush to keep up! ...

All we can do I spose. Next step is see a dietician but know she's doing everything right in that dept ...

Bless her, i know how she feels.
After my second child i cant seem to shift it, and dont seem to have the energy to even try very with hard with this visa thing going on, WAITING, WAITING AND MORE WAITING! followed by a big helping of GUILT!!!!
My husband still loves me too but i feel hideous and i'm not even that big but its what you are used to being!
Just keep reasuring her, she is not alone but it is hard to believe that anyone could love you so much when you cant stand looking at yourself, why would anyone else want to!

Same here, or there should I say.

She's a small girl (5' and a fag butt) but used to being a size 6 and dunno what now, but she says most of her clothes she can't fit into now! ... and it's eating at her! ...

Our youngest is 15 so nothing to do with the kids, but all the same she's just soo unhappy about it all and I feel helpless ...

Her work colleagues tell her "there's nothing of you!" ... but as you prob know it's irrelevant what others think if YOU'RE not happy!

I wish I had the answer ... but I just dont! ...

My weight has been creeping up gradually since I was 18 (went to uni and learnt to drink!) but has plateaued in the last 5 years and is even coming down slightly now. I exercise about the same (ie hardly at all), eat the same sort of things and drink as much). But I attribute the control to eating smaller meals. A curry, chilli con carne, spag bol used to be the sort of meal every night in cold wet blighty but a piece of grilled meat with salad is fine. I couldn't cope with that hot stodgy food too often in this heat.

I would also feel guilty sat at work munching on a large lunch surrounded by lots of skinny, fit people so that is a good incentive too.

Know what you mean about not wanting to eat in this heat. For the last month or two I've eaten a bowl of cereal for brunch at around 10 and then don't eat again until 6 where I'm quite happy with a piece of grilled chicken breast and a salad. We still snack at night, but instead of a big bowl of ice cream I'm content with a small dish of custard or one scoop of ice cream.

When we moved interstate the packers forgot to pack the bathroom scales, so I don't know if I've actually gained or lost weight but my clothes don't fit anymore. I attribute it partly to the heat. I tend to swell in the heat, so while I may have lost a few lbs the swelling has made up for it.

It's weird.

I've had the same waist size since I was 18 odd - I'm in my mid 30s - but I have gained c15 kilos. Luckily around the shoulders, arms and chest and thighs - because I started to train in my early 20s - before then I got by with natural fitness.

My weight never seems to shift at all now - but I can feel a bit flabby if I do nothing for months. But a couple of weeks of gym now seems to correct it almost overnight.

I understand. I have done weights off an on since about 13 so even though I have put on 4 stone since I was 18 a lot of it is has gone to thighs, shoulders, arms etc. Most annoyingly my neck got a lot of it - I played american football at uni and did a lot of neck strenghtening work - now I have two choices of shirt - the one that I can wear with a tie that billows around my body or the one that fits my body that I can't do the top two buttons up on. That is the good news. Unfortunately the beer put it on faster than I can convert it to muscle and there is a sizeable beer belly - which I still insist is partly muscle.

I'm the same with the neck - but it is not obvious to look at all, apart from me noting it when I buy shirts. And if anything providing I maintain a small amount of training now, I am fitter and stronger than I ever been. It's easy to have teenage tone and look sort of muscley when you're young but it doesn't necessarily count for much as many of my peers have now completely lost it. The one thing I count my chickens with is that I have never had a belly and probably will never have to worry about it until I get to my 60s. My old man started to change shape around then.

Sports physiology is fascinating.
