Default Ever thought of anywhere else??

Emigrating that is.....

Before we decided on here...we thought of emigrating to Italy.

Love it there, but love it here too, and think...know, we made the right decision.

Anyone else seriously consider anywhere else?

Funny you should say that Cas

We did consider Boston but then there was 911. Italy is on the horizon for a few years while daughter does her OE. But Melbourne looks like being home for a long time

We looked around a fair bit for countries to live, and found if you wanted to live in a white,English speaking country it was going to be hard work to get in(Except the UK of course)...liked the idea of Canada been there several time, but i guess the snow put me off so tried Australia instead,so noway am i saying Oz is second best....i think you just look more into a life changing situation as it can be a very expensive mistake..

I thought of emigrating to England once or twice but there were too many English living there.

Not the same today I guess but I prefer it here.

Know what you mean...we decided against Italy because as a nurse, I would have never have of learnt the language enough to get past the clinical terminology etc.

We had never been here, but decided to give it a crack after listening to the views of valued and trustworthy friends who had spent a lot of time here.

Glad we did, because 18 months in...life is sweet.

That's because we're all here, and they're all there!

Which makes me one of us, while England is full of one of them

I can understand where you are coming from...like most we dreamed of living in France,Spain etc but in reality i couldn't crack the language,my kids were better at the local language than me but in the end we felt migration was for all the family to be happy...and G'day was easy to learn..

Language has never been a problem for me.

Noone understands me so I could go anywhere.
