The Ever So Slightly Intelligent Quotation Game
The ever so slightly intelligent quotation game is very easy... but requires thought.
Put up half a quotation.
This can be from a book: "Last night I dreamed I went to......"
or a song: "Every little thing she does is ......"
or a poem: "Oh to be in England, now that......"
Or even an advertising slogan, a proverb, a play, anything where people might reasonably be expected to know the rest of it.
BUT. The Game is NOT that people follow on with the correct quotation-ending, but something Unexpected and hopefully funny!
So, I might start with...
'What the world needs now, is......'
And the next person on the thread might reply with..
' ... a really powerful refrigerator.' (See - bit of wit with that whole global warming thing?)
Then once you've finished the quote you put down half of another for the next person along.
See? How easy is that?
So, here's my starter for 10 ...
'Good things come to...'
Off you go.
Put up half a quotation.
