Felt it 34 floors up in CBD - was having a few beers out on the balcony looking over the side when it hit. Talk about bad time - really thought it was the drinking at first. Knocked a painting off the wall and a few other things - good fun.

I'm in the CBD at the mo and felt the sofa shaking for quite a while...did wonder and then checked the news, nothing, checked FB....confirmed!

This one has been doing the rounds with different places. We had an earthquake in Armidale NSW, epicentre near Gunnedah and the same image was posted with we survived the Gunnedah/Tamworth earthquake. Still a funny post nonetheless.

We felt it in Geelong.OH was sure it was our washing machine that was on spin cycle - our rental is so flimsy it shakes every time. But this was different, more of a gentle wobbling side to side and the hanging light was swaying......

After about 15 minutes, FB went mad with all my Geelong friends asking as well.

OH experienced a 6+ in Sendai a few months ago so he was very unimpressed with our Victorian one!

Was snoozing on the sofa and OH woke me, then 9 year old appeared very excited! He then got the blame at work as we just arrived!
