Metal ones are difficult to use, yes. The standard wooden ones not so. I don't use knife & fork any more unless I'm allowed out and go to a French/Italian restaurant.

It's weird (but still dull, don't panic folks) but there are some dishes that I don't feel right eating with anything but chopsticks; I often have to ask for them in restaurants where they think I'd prefer a fork and spoon. I'm crap with them, too - was just getting the hang of them when I mangled my right wrist and it's never really regained full mobility.

I have a talking chipmunk. He has a very small vocabulary, even for a chipmunk.
