Dual Citizenship A Barrier ?

Re: Dual Citizenship A Barrier ?
SA (like Tas) is a passenger state - anti-business and socialist to the core. It drags the rest of Australia down so if you live and work on one of the productive states (Qld, NSW, Vic, WA), you pay for the people in SA to live in fairy tale land. They only survive because of pork-barrel politicians like Christopher Pyne and Nick Xenophon - hence we are spending $50 billion on clockwork submarines from France
Pathetic - but SA is a pathetic state

The argument that we lack the nuclear infrastructure is bullshit. The USN forward bases Virginia-class boats in Guam and sends them back to San Diego for major servicing. Same could happen here - but alas it never will
Politics and pork-barreling overcome national defence unfortunately

Here here. While the world marches forward with nuclear power Australia is still messing with coal and some mythical thing called solar just to please the greens who screwed up the nuclear agenda in the first place.

Spot on. We should be leasing/buying nuclear powered Virginia-class SSNs from the US. One third of the cost of the French clockwork subs and with 12 of them, nobody could f**k with us. Nobody

Knowing how tight the time constraints are I seriously think that they will end up buying second hand subs to tide us over. The alternative is to lose the whole sub fleet crews and the wealth of experience that goes with them.
The project is expected to deliver the first sub in 2030 the expiration date of the Collins Class is 2030. Given that they first have to work out how to replace the advanced nuclear power plant with an archaic retrograde diesel electric I can't see the project staying on time.

Is the picture of Barnaby in The Australian (online) from today?
If so - as a regional Australian in wheat, sheep and magpie country - can I point out how clean the hat looks.
As well, though I follow the news, I have never seen him in such a hat before. This wouldn't have to do with the upcoming by-election, would it? Maybe I have just missed Barnaby + hat over the years.
Whatever, as a Kiwi he doesn't know what is the right hat to wear here, and anyways I hear over there they do different things with sheep than we do here.

Ahhh for f...
...Look we just got a New Labour (capitalisation is correct, Jacinda is a Blair-ite) government. Why don't you petition them to issue Barnaby with a New Zealand passport and refuse to acknowledge his revocation of New Zealand citizenship.
