Depends why you were banned, and what discussions have gone OFF the forum with Admin or Mods. There are some people who have been banned permanently in the past but are now welcome to post again as long as they stay within the rules It is appreciated if people contact Admin before they launch themselves onto the forum under a new name if they have been banned in the past - that way we all know what's going on and there's no need for pm's saying "Ae you/were you/what/where......."
Also remember many members don't recieve permanent bans, often a Mod feels the best way to remind someone of the rules is to give them a ban for a couple of days, in which case that person is welcome back after the ban expires. If you are just banned temporarily then all your points, Premium membership, settings etc resume as soon as your ban expires.

Sooooooo having said all that, in your case I would suggest you contact Sue (Admin) or me and I'll pass it on Premium Membership does in most cases need renewing yearly though). It might be possible to transfer it to your new name if it hasn't expired yet.

He may have paid the $$'s for here but think he got a freeby elsewhere but if he did pay I don't think he'll be paying the fee for next year as he could get 6 3/4 years on here for that.

To be honest I don't think what anyone may or may not have paid on any other website has anything to do with BE, so can we please let that subject lie.
People have asked similar questions in the past when closing an account and then re-registering, and its matter for an off-forum discussion between Admin and the poster concerned.

Not a problem, you mentioned anyone could be a paid up member earlier was all so was just pointing out the financial benefits of the lower BE cost. I don't pay for premium as find that cheaper still so happy to leave members to make their own choice and let it lie...
