Default Dog license Tags... Serious question

Ok... Serious question...

Just about to leave for the beach and realize neither of the hounds from he'll have their license tags on their collars AGAIN.... They appear to have done their incredible dog tag eating trick .... Little bar stewards...

No use checking the dog crap In the garden to find them as that was cleared up last night

Question is.... The are licensed and registered and legal.... But can they go out without their tags on? Licensing centre won't be open til Monday now.... And they need walking!

I really should keep spares....

The chances of getting knicked if they are on their leash are pretty slim, but it would be handy if you still have the receipts from the council to take with you-just in case.
My brother's dog has a similar problem, she keeps chewing her tag off, so her collar goes on only when she goes outside the yard (he also keeps paperwork handy at home).

Have decided that they are grounded til Monday morning.... When the grey nomads can get replacements...

And no amount of puppy eyes will change my mind

Do they do metal council tags? We've always been handed the plastic ones when we pay up

Porbably not-it would be too logical.

For some reason, dogs continuously take perverse pleasure in chewing registration tags up, so council would take the cheaper/easier option.

Luckily we have a treadmill for occasions such as this.... My admiration for Mr Millan extends to wearing them out on that on the few days they don't get a real walk.....

I've had this happen before Eddie and tbh I've still taken mine out, just made sure they were never off leash. If I was approached by a ranger then he would be able to check the registration details no problem anyway, I have a feeling that this sort of thing occurs a lot.

I had a great idea YEARS ago for a device that killed 2 birds with one stone. Great for busy dog owners who need that little bit 'extra' in their life

We take it in turns.... They have a walk with me standing by the side, then I walk on it and they watch.....

Works quite well when it's raining cats n dogs

Even when dogs have tags, the bloody owners don't answer the phone when it gets out. I am sorely tempted to turf it out onto the streets, but then it would just pester someone else.

Ah, they didn't answer because they were abroad- the dog is being looked after by a relative. They will have to dog proof their garden a bit better.
