Re: Does Australia have a future?
We didn't go with out 'gut feeling' when we came two years ago as it was something we had planned for a long time but our gut feeling for a few months prior to coming was 'what on earth are we doing, we have a fabulous life here' - two years later we realise we should have listened to it and stayed at home. Our life was a million times better in the UK and if my daughter wasn't here, think we would be heading home. Gonna give it a bit longer and see what happens but do think very carefully, good luck with your decision.

Some families will try all sorts of emotional warfare to put you off ,but just think if you delay and for whatever reason ,you then lose the chance to come ,will you always regret not knowing.

I don't think that's always the case. I nearly moved to Oz over 25 years. Ditched the idea and I can honestly say that not once did it cross my mind again until my employer asked me if I wanted to move. |

When the "Boat People" start invading Indonesia and the Indonesian Navy and Customs don't know what to do with Aussies escaping terror, then it might be an indication it isn't the land of milk and honey.

Ahh but you did make the move in the end! Today has been a better day and we are back on track! My mother did spend 45 minutes ranting to my poor parents in law, saying my husband was a weak man and should say no to moving but what she doesn't realise is that we both want to make the move! She also thought that I was on the verge of manic depression/becoming bipolar. If I spend any more time listening to her I may well succumb!! Bring me sunshine :D |
