Yes please cos it's probably me and i'm tired
But really yes I know what you mean, and it could just be a temporary blip on that persons part, especially if they have been partaking of some kind of alcoholic beverage!
I get so tempted to do the sarcastic thing, cos that is my sort of sense of humour, but I find it doesn't work well written down. Think it is all in the delivery!
I usually end up leaving well alone

I write replies but have to delete them cos I just know I will get into trouble!
Then I see what others get away with and half wish I had done it.

Seriously I think it depends on what you say and how you say it. Sometimes it's OK to just post what you are thinking, as long as you do it without being offensive to the other person.
There is sarcasm and there is being nasty. I have a really sarcastic sense of humour so know what you mean. I sometimes write the message then bottle out
It also depends on the person. Some can take a bit of ribbing and others can't. You get to know which is which after a while.
