I'm a Welshy too butt!
My son's kindy teacher is from the Rhondda Valley and her accent is real strong. If anyone wants a giggle, go to youtube and search for Taff Wars, it's clips of Star Wars with Welsh accents, full of swearing so not for little ones! The Splott Market one is the funniest! Melis:D |
Re: Do TAFFS move to Australia>?

Loads of us mun. When flying out to Canberra/Sydney from Brisbane in the world cup2003/lions tour 2001 there were plane loads of welsh heading down and most were exiles living in and around Brisbane. If you stopped and talked to everyone you saw you'd find people from all parts of the world, events such as the above make people that much easier to spot though. Oh and my Aussie wife has a bit of welsh in her, but only for 2 minutes every other night  |

Yup.
From beautiful Cardiff originally, but now living in a peaceful, sleepy hamlet in the North of England, by the name of Manchester..... I'd be happy to migrate back to Cardiff but my OH won't go because of "the funny accents" . Mind you, she's a real Manc so she thinks anyone who speaks English has a funny accent !! Anyway, we're headed for Perth in January and can't wait ! I couldn't see what all the fuss was about, as its good england right:p? bec |
