It's my mates birthday today....had a bit of a thing about him when we were 13/14

And it's funny, but he has deffo got better looking as he has gotten older....

Or is it I've gotten more desperate.... Less picky?

Some blokes do get better looking - as do women. Some just get older looking.
Some try cosmetic surgery and get horiffic looking.

Less picky .... More desperate .... You start to realise that one you never did is one you'll never get.

Goes back to basic primal instincts and genetics- up to a point an older man (like the silverback gorilla) has an air of authority: the leader of the pack. Experience marks his face as an authority figure and a good provider.

With women it is all about being able to breed, and clear skin, even features, a waistline and non- saggy boobs and bottom are the important primal priorities. Once you pass the breeding age, the body lets go, and you lose your "desirability".

A man can produce progeny well into genetic old age. (ie 45- 50)
