Default Digital Flockiing cameras

A rant......about cameras not countries

Just spent an hour trying to get an old Manual lens to work on my new digital slr

I already own one digital slr and have had no problems.....however the system is different on this new model and the camera manual is as much use as a chocolate teapot

Maybe there is something lost in the translation or maybe it is me

Not long ago an expensive new camera nearly found itself in Moreton bay....luckily I have now got it working.

<Maybe I am getting too old for all this new technology

You must have a few decades on me but I had trouble wiring up a DVD and set top box to a telly for someone yesterday..

and then I realised I had problems reading the buttons on the remote... I blamed the lack of light ..

With some DSLR's the focussing motor is in the camera body and in others it is in the lens. I have a Nikon D7000 with the motor in the body and I can autofocus with my older lenses but something like the D5100 can only use lenses with the motor in the lens if you want autofocus.

This is a manual focus lens which is no problem. It was the exposure metering I was having a problem with....sorted now
