I don't have a smart phone, so I'll have to use pen and paper.

I don't have one either, an iPod Touch works though.

And I get to play First Touch Soccer and listen to internet radio, can't do that on a notepad

I love this app! Why did nobody tell me about this sooner?

Because I'm evil

The fancy wireless pedometer that you can buy which uploads exercise data looks like fun.

Expensive but fun ... Best just lay off the lard and save the money

The other good thing that I discovered at much the same time was that my new little ipod nano (yes, another indulgence!) bought so I could listen to audio books on my work out, has a pedometer so I attach it first thing every day and it keeps count of my steps and saves them in history - it's almost worth buying a nano for the pedometer alone although the Fitness pal one is probably cheaper (but it wont play audio books to you!). I just then put the cals exercise into the app manually

Good idea, tunes and exercise are a good combination.

The wireless thingy is around $120 imported so a bit of an indulgence.

I am fascinated that I can scan the barcode from stuff and it goes in automatically. It doesn't take much to impress me apparently.

Just discovered it has some fast food meals in the database so no excuse for not logging them, as I have just done. That's my budget for today done then.

I'm not logging the vast tracts of fat-burning exercise I get, yet, this is offset by my unshakeable belief that the calories in wine don't count so they are not logged either.

The truth will come at weigh-in time ...

Just double check before you enter it that it is the thing you're eating. I've had a couple of items which came up as something bizarre.

I don't normally bump (being against site rules and all ...) but I just wanted to draw this app to the attention of anyone that was unaware.

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it's working for me by focussing my attention on what I consume without it being a chore.

It's close to taking over from TuneIn Radio as my all time favourite app ...

I love it too. I've recommended it to a few people now.

I've come to the conclusion that to continue with my present alcohol consumption I need to stop eating altogether.
