Thanks - I read somewhere that it could also cause cardiac issues, so would never normally buy anything stronger than I can get at the local chemists.

Does he research all vitamins?

That's sensible.

His field is endocrinology, but he has focussed on vitamin D. Vitamin D is actually classed as a hormone, it was named before its action was understood.

There's a few around the 400 mark that also don't sound nice and it puts me personally off all of them

I am a traditionalist when it comes to the subject, because that is what works for me - and that's not to say popping pills. I believe diet, routine, exercise and talking are the best methods. Above all people want to be listened to - you can't have a discussion with a youtube link - and linking out to websites don't work for me

There are other bits I find disturbing - the curing of so many ailments by vitamins just seems so unbelievable. There are people following the best diets in the world that have been struck with terrible illnesses - if vitamins are the cure, then why are they not preventative. In other cases it seems to prey on peoples vulnerabilities, and the possible benefits may be placebo effects only

Apologies if this is fragmented - long night
I mean it as no insult but by the looks of things you are either too locked into your opinions to be able to think outside the box on the subject or you are just playing the wind-up game - as demonstrated in your last half dozen or more posts on this thread. If you are genuinely interested then you're going to have to read and view the content of this thread a bit less superficially than you have so far done. You are big girl now, I shouldn't have to spoon feed you. Happy reading and viewing

Same with the B vitamins. In fact there are a whole lot of vitamins and nutrients that when people are deficient in them, result in increased anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, etc. These conditions sound bad enough on their own but if a person suffers prolonged deficiencies, the above symptoms give rise to more serious problems like psychosis, manic depression, suicidal feelings, etc. Excess sugar and junk food exacerbates the above problems and also causes a bunch of others such as hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder, diabetes, etc.

Right back at you Paul, word for word. It's already been requested that everyone who posts does so respecting other opinions.

You didn't answer the question on the toxicity on B3 which you have definitely recommended in large doses - what levels do you deem safe for someone reading this at home to take - and what would be the contraindications? What advise would you give to someone reading this and going and ordering megadoses of A, B3, B6, D, etc?

So vitamins are a cure all and you dont need any medical credentials to suggest taking large doses? Is that basically the gist?

You have become Old Sparkles official representative too it seems.

What Sparkles was asking me to do is to tell her exactly the things that are detailed in the very recently provided text and video links - because she cant be bothered to read or listen to them herself. It has to be a wind up. You wouldn't have something to do with it would you?

I'd rather hear it from you since this is what you are advocating, unless of course it's not safe for a person to do this from home.

This is complete nonsense.....how about posting some reliable evidence instead of your usual anti psychiatry/drug company paranoia?

I have no idea what you read in this thread but it's not what's being written by others.

Not everyone agrees with you, deal with it.

I found it very hard to believe that Vit C cures polio, tetanus and HIV, but the second point was a plant based diet and I know that was nonsense!
