Deport him
l can't beleive this guy could get to stay in OZ after what his done , its bad enough he only got 2 years jail. Surely he will be deported after his sentance or am l wrong?

He's now got a criminal conviction. That will be assessed at the point he applies for PR.

Mujahed Ur-Rahman, 29, has been sentenced to at least two years and three months in jail for the unprovoked attack.
Anyone else find this disturbing? seems to imply that the sentence would have been less if she'd provoked him, I can't see that there can be any provokation for such an attack

Highly unlikely I'd have thought - its a prison sentence, plus they will loo at twhat the offence was. He'd be unlikely to get PR with that recrd in his past, never mind with it so recent AND onshore as well.

That isn't always quite as safe as it sounds......even prison guards have feelings and its always possible to be looking the other way at certain times.....
