Default Curtains & blinds: Perth recommendations

Hi, we need to get some curtains and blinds made up. Does anyone in Perth have any recommendations for companies who can do a good job, without us having to take out another mortgage?

But you live in a semi-rural area, where it might not matter so much privacy-wise and where live entertainment might be a bit harder to come by ...

I've checked their stock and our windows are all non-standard sizes. I'm useless with a sewing machine and OH has Frank Spencer tendencies. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I wouldn't say they are cheap, nowhere is for quality curtains and blinds. Good luck.

It's amazing how much these things cost. The quote we've already had is stupidly high, anyone would think we were getting gold-plated tracks and gold-leaf material.

We used Vista blinds several times. We have two huge windows and weren't as expensive as we thought they would be.We have curtains in the bedroom but never close them.

Every time we used them they have a half price sale on.We have blinds that you can see out but you can't see in unless you turn the lights on.So you many just need either curtains or blackouts in the bedrooms.

Their website says they have a sale on at the moment, so hoping their quote will be reasonable. We really need curtains in the bedrooms because blinds make a lot of noise in the breeze (no aircon here). The sliding door's a bit tricky, as we definitely need something for privacy, but we hate vertical blinds. Curtains across a sliding door can be a pain too, especially when it's the door we use most.

Ah I get your problem.... Depending on where you live in Perth, there is a place I drive past on the corner of Nicholson Rd and Albany Hwy called Betta Curtains.... no idea what they are like... might be worth a visit though. Just don't go to ABC Blinds whatever you do.... crap product with no customer service.... we learnt that the hard way! Replaced the naff blinds with some from Vista and am very happy with the product and service. Will use them again.

Thanks for the tip, Briar. Dud blinds are a real pain, so I shall avoid ABC Blinds. I'll go over and have a look at Betta Curtains. At the moment I've got one 2 appointments for quotes set up and waiting for Vista to ring me back.
