At least you lot get a vote - they won't even go that far in Queensland. If they did, they'd probably allow the cows and chickens to vote by proxy.....

I am with the narrow minded ones, I do hope its a NO. I wish I had a vote so I could vote NO.

Lots of people seem to prefer the lighter mornings.

The odds are that it will be rejected again:
Every decade WA gets a referendum, and each time it is voted down.

1978 53.66% against,
1984 54.35% against,
1992 53.14% against.
2009 ? It will be interesting to see

I can understand that but ordinarily our family can't take full advantage. School nights are too busy or husband has to be in bed early for early work start. It was still quite dark at 6am this morning. That is just no good for me. I know most folk aren't up at 6 but I am and I don't like it dark. I have plenty of outdoor lighting so can still manage to potter about outside in the evening. Each to their own I guess.

1 hour, and it makes a difference to those to whom it matters. And the majority rules in a democracy ;)

Actually I would prefer daylight savings, I never was much of a morning person, but my wife likes to get up at 5am or something like that, and prefers light mornings, and dark evenings.

If we had a vote, we would each vote differently, and cancel each other out

Sunset tonight was 6:45pm here in Brisbane. A 1 hour saving would make it 7:45.
I would like a 3 hour difference, and make it 9:45pm  , but then it wouldn't get light till 8:30 in the morning, which would be a killer for all those who start work at 6-7am.

In the end though, it is down to the majority.

I am not fussed either way really. I will probably vote Yes but only because I think it is better for business to be only 2 hours away from the eastern states.
