Eng didn't do too badly, especially with some of that umpiring! Will be interesting to see if "Nevill The Cheat" is the Courierfail's front page headline tomorrow. We got him out four times in total and even then he reviewed the last one.

Re: The Cricket Thread
No, I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the ICC claiming that the umpires have a 97.xxx% correct call rate on DRS. But they never include the bloopers when there are no reviews left.
Also, I have a problem when Broad is called a cheat yet Nevill is not and not even questioned by the Aussie commentators. It is typical hypocrisy. |
Re: The Cricket Thread
What I'm saying is Eng got him out four times, just the umpires only gave him out once in this innings when DRS showed he was out on all four occasions.

Re: The Cricket Thread
I'm not blaming DRS! What I said was the umpires made bad calls. It's pretty rare umpires will make 3 incorrect decisions for the same batsman in the one innings. That is what happened. You seem to be suggesting that Cook shouldn't have wasted his reviews. That says to me then that it shouldn't matter if umpires make bad calls. That is a really bad and negative stance for the game in my view, especially when you can prove a ball would go on and hit the stumps and still lose a review. That's not wasting a review.
