As for Trescothick saying anything; You might remember the relevant post you made. I know its hard but even a Bogan low grade should not make it too difficult for you to recall. Something to do with mentally ill, you should be able to relate. Anyway I have promised to not mock the afflicted. So I will zip it from here on in and let you spit the dummy and throw the toys out of your pram, bet you your drop the lot:thumbsup:

Would you guys make up your mind. Someone name calls me pompous, the other name calls me a bogan. Not sure you can have such a thing as a pompous bogan.

No sledging from the Saffa's. I guess it's just losers who sledge

Proteas too polite to sledge, they know how to be winners. Not knowing how to be a winner is more Bogan style, then complaining about not getting notices for it is pompous. Anyway I did say no more as it is too much like mocking the afflicted.

BTW

Perhaps you may wish to try and up your game by asking the mods very politely to remove your comment re the guys wife and Coogee bike reference, utterly classless, or should I say full on Bogan.

Ah you are a Saffa. I take it all back then. Even Saffa's (you) can't win with grace. Now who's the bogan?

The bike remark remains. There's more to that than SBW. As I said, if you choose someone with history, there's bound to be some Saffa without class. It's how you handle it that counts, and Warner did not do his prep well.

SA are a real team - the real deal. You see it in their body language and the way they interact with each other - on and off the field

Australia have equated arrogance and non-cricket aggression as acting like a team - that's worked out well for them hasn't it

I wasn't sure what Michael Clarke meant when he said Australia has the best bowling attack in the world. That is clearly not the case. SA have had the best bowling attack for some time.

I've studied sledging at great length, in fact I did a thesis on it whilst in the toilet this morning. If you study hard enough a pattern emerges.

It usually starts with a crass, supposedly insulting and off putting comment from someone who just so happens to be crass and insulting. Let's say in this instance an Aussie cricketer.

This is usually followed by an instant retourt from a cricketer possessing far more intellect, let's say in this instance an Englishman, or a South African, or a Kiwi, or a Pakistani, or a Bangladeshi, or a Sri Lankan, or a Zimbabwean, or a West Indian or an Indian.

Sometimes this is followed by an outburst from the initiator because in their attempts at sledging, they themselves have been made to look foolish.

If you're gonna give it, you've got to learn to take it. Can you take it Beoz??

When the sledging is coming from the ump you know it’s going to be a tough tour:

“After losing count of how many deliveries he had left in the over, Tufnell asked the Australian umpire Peter McConnell if he knew, to which he replied “Count them yourself, you pommie b*****d.””

Yep, they can.

It's just not cricket. Or should that be, it's not just cricket.
