Yup, DH just drove home from the airport across the Gateway bridge and said the views across the city were amazing. Stuck in a valley here so I can't see a lot from where I am. Boo, I love thunderstorms.

I was just on skype with the OH and as soon as the call connected the first thing I heard was a huge rumbling sound. Gotta love thunderstorms!

Hi,
I love thunderstorms, I'm sure when we get to Perth we may see a few.
Best ones I've seen so far were in Florida Disney - daughter and niece running towards a ride, less than 100 yards away and the ride was struck by lightening, they stopped running, waited a second then ran towards the ride again,
Another time in Florida watching the storm channel on the TV and the building we were in got hit by lightening and all the power, telly too went off.
Never actually got to see the famous Fantasia fireworks show as the two times we planned to see it, it was called off at the last minute due to roaming lightening storms
Thanks
M

Yep, nowhere near you this time. Went straight over us though, which is quite unusual.
The Bloke is miffed cos it seems to have taken Foxtel offline - anyone out there that got tonights storm and can verify whether its just us or has Foxtel been zapped into oblivion?

Really odd here, storms usually seem to split as they get to us and go round us. This is probably the first one in the 13 months we've been here that has gone over instead of round. We got about 30 mms of rain in half an hour, not bad.

Anyone else not got their TV back, it's not foxtel just general FTA... we've only got Ch7 but it's very jumpy.
