Just listing stuff down for insurance cover for the container and it works out to be just under £35,000 :scared:

Replacement value for us was about 20K, insurance with letton percival was peanuts when you think about how much you are spending elsewhere.

The thing is we aren't even taking sofa's wardrobes or white goods.

You are also able to leave stuff out rather than cover the entire contents. We left out very general stuff and it brought the cost down significantly.

Not heard that before. We used them but didn't need to claim The guy there spent ages on the phone with me going through the forms. Could be worth ringing them and asking their advice.

Ours totalled about £40k but we also left out stuff that we wouldn't replace. The policy would only be void if your whole shipment went up in flames/sank etc and the value of the shipment was more than what it was insured for. It's a get out clause insurance companies are very fond of.
