Is it a conspiracy..............?
What is it with all these ex-pat forums?
Perhaps not this one in particular but why are these forums getting so dry??
Could it be that Ex-pats are posing more questions about their new lives than anyone is capable of answering??
We're called whinging Poms for a reason and yet youre only allowed to be absolutely posimistic........................................ .:rof l:

I like your new word, 'posimistic'
Somewhere between optimistic & pessimistic perhaps? Much like this forum

Its because many of us have taken the expat journey already. We've been there, done that. We've started calling flip-flops "thongs" and we've stopped converting from $ to £. And now the thrill is gone.

I only do it when talking to my nieces back home - at 8 and 13, imagining someone "walking down the street showing off their new thongs" can still raise hysteria

What's wrong with Thongs ?
I have no problem watching the girls walk past in their thongs.
But to bring back some of that aforementioned dryness, they speak the Australian version of the language in Australia, not the British version
and then... why are these forums getting so dry??
Maybe the current economic climate is causing everyone to be a bit more concerned about things...
