Well this is a first for me
I work in a busy operating suite, with , must be , over 100 nurses, and on Friday a conflict manager is being employed for a year. Thing is, I feel this year has been my best year at work in Australia, although I can see alot of tension in the place.
Has this happened in anyone else s organisation?, i think it may be a first for the operating suite?
One thing i cant understand about work, is why on earth would you have work colleagues on FB, this has caused a few conflict and confidentiality issues, there is no way i would have any work colleague on my FB.

Is their role between patient and nurse?
or nurse and doctor
or nurse on nurse

Am just googling the role of the conflict manager to see what its all about, as i know on friday , that staff are going to be randomly interviewed (if they agree to the interview).

It is a very negative job title that is for sure. "Relationship Manager" would be a better choice, for whatever it is...
No I would never have a work colleague on facebook either. I have past ones, but none current.

Well, never realised the extent of the research of conflict in the operating room, coming across some very intersting stuff on the net.

I think the correct new phrase is Newton Specialist

I'd have thought they would have gone for a title that emphasised the 'Teaming' aspect - and I know that there has been a fair amount of work in that arena for operating theatres (reading across from the military sphere). High pressure, high performance teams in an hierarchical, knowledge based environment.
Or maybe they will just choose such a c*** for the conflict manager role that all enmity gets redirected onto that individual. That might work...
