Comparing- Its not a good idea

As a new comer, what I can see is too many people comparing one place with another, when its not like for like... you cant logically do it, and its not mathematically correct to do so.
All the polls are wrong, and comparison threads ill thought of, as that plants the seed of doubt, on whether you dont the wrong thing, as your intial though wont be "We have done the right thing" will it.
Land open your bag, settle down and make it your home, accept your new country and embrace it. If you dont like it go in peace, and take the positives, with you.
Its awful to read people bragging why one place is better tha the other, Id hate to live in perth say for the last 30 years and someone slag it off to the ninth degree.
just my say thats all

a,
agree with you my firend, I havent done any name calling.
Heres my dig tho.
Perth.
from what I can summarise, its a overun british enclave, with rampant rapists, gun and drug crime rife, muderers on every corner, expensive houses, nothing to do, shops open 5 hours a day, billions of flies, force ten gales, crap airport, 3 tourist attractions, and its bases in the galaxy far far far away from any civilisation you have to get captain kirk to transport you....
oh and thats not including the 1 million alcholics slumped in the pacement gutters 24 hours a day....
and when you dont like that you head to Brisbane, which is becoming more pronounce

If i was moving to Australia by myself then i would happily
'Land open your bag, settle down and make it your home, accept your new country and embrace it. If you dont like it go in peace, and take the positives, with you.'
but i am moving with two teenage children who are my sole responsibility and i need to have as much information about the area i am moving to as possible. Also it is costing me a fortune so i want to get it right the first time.
I know that mathematically you can not compare one place with another or one persons experiences with another persons but i prefer to use my common sense as a critiquing tool.
I understand that you are allowed to have you own opinion but why be so negative? There are some really nice people on BE and if you approach them with a positive attitude they will go out of their way to help you.

Look Im not slagginf anyone off or causing trouble here, as one who has experienced and witnessed various emotions on their travels, I have noticed certain threads that compare, matters which you cant compare.....
its not against BE or its users, just some posts and threads which are prejudice without the full facts or a levelled opionion....
I moved by myself and didnt have this forum or anyone to help me, I didnt need it nor did I recieve a medal when i completed my mission.
if you cant see some posts are born by lack of vision and get up and go, which results in, rdicilous comments like Perth is a goldfish bowl, or I went to bunnings and this happened, or I can find a decent butcher in Brisbane,,,etc etc etc
what are they comparing it to....selfridges in the Trafford Centre,
I questions some reasoning behind the posts, and given the replies, I am bemused why people are so anti-

Hi, I dont really understand what you are saying. I use BE for a number of things. It enables me to view other peoples opinions, it makes me laugh, it lets me search for answers to a vast number of questions that i have and it is an excellent research tool. As with any research exercise i make sure that i consider bias and individual factors. I find it helps when the findings make me doubt myself as this makes me think. As for the bragging well this happens everywhere and i either ignore it or choose to reply, it depends what mood i am in.

Do you know what posts annoy me the most ?
The posts where somebody still in the UK giving advice to everyone else about how they intend to mentally approach or what attitude they will have with no personal experience of the process at all.

You doing a night shift back in the UK, or just having an afternoon nap?
