They matter to Melbourne, although I think the associated arts festival is going to be better than the games.

Can I vote somewhere in between. I don't think its a Mickey mouse affair but I also don't think its serious international event.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the events.

Isn't the Commonwealth Games the third biggest sporting event in the world after the Olympics and the World Cup?

Definitely Mickey Mouse games, how anyone can take seriously a final where the entrants wouldn't even appear at the Olympics or World championships. Plus the idea of a Commonwealth is something that belongs in the 19th Century.

I don't mind watching the female gymnastics or diving for the fit birds, also some of them pole vaulters are worth a good schlonging but apart from that it is a major
