Default Commission only pay

We're in Queensland and have noticed that there are a lot of 'commission only' jobs. Some advertise they are, and some, my husband has found out, only tell you after they offer you the job.

I know there are special considerations for Real Estate and Car Salespeople with commission only jobs. But what about ordinary sales? Surely they have to be paid a minimum wage otherwise it would be a kind of slavery (with unscrupulous businesses setting targets too hard to reach).

If anyone can advise us it would be great.

Default Re: Commission only pay

"commission only" is normally self employment, and should be mentioned as such.
