I think its a great idea, as long as the kids don't expect a second set of presents?

British & Irish expats Christmas In July 2014 (12/07/14)
Its that time of year again folks, below is a list of what’s happening on the day and night.
The Football match kicks off at 12
Scotland/ABE (anybody but england) V England
Most people get there for about 11.30am
It’s an annual even that has been going for about 8 years.
The day is free to attend
The will be a free jumping castle and a face painter
It’s a huge family day out starting with the teams being marched out with a piper (who will be little surprise this year)
After the game the winning team will be presented with a trophy.
Then Santa will arrive for free gifts for the children (limited)
With some Christmas music playing. A Christmas dress theme is welcomed.
Then we hope to have the annual tug o war, where the crowd is welcome to take part (small prizes will be awarded to the winners)
The club will have the café open all day to purchase food and soft drinks.
The bar will be open from 11.30am where cheap drink is available.
In the evening the club are supplying a DJ and the knees up begins
The club will also supply free finger food at night.
Everyone is welcome to join in with the whole event. All you have to do is turn up and join the fun.
A flag of your country of origin would be a good idea.
We have a facebook page that you are welcome to join for updates

Have a look through for photos of last year
Southport Soccer Club, Ashmore Park, Mualla Drive, Ashmore

Most of they day is funded by the British expats golf players who donate each time they play to fund the day. This year the Southport Soccer club have offered to help with the organisation of the day by funding the jumping castle, face painter and the tug o war.
Remember it’s a free family day and everyone is welcome!
