I'd call her father and half-brother close members, wouldn't you?

I always followed this story, she has been found guilty by the justice system and that is enough for me. I find it a bit xenophobic to say that she must be innocent because foreign justice systems are corrupt. Nobody tried to plant drugs on me or any of the many people I know who have travelled to Bali.
If an Indonesian had travelled into Heathrow and was caught with 9lbs of drugs in their bag, I don't think "they were planted on me honest" would get their defence very far either and rightly so. Yet some people seem to think this should be enough for Shapelle.

You've misread the quote

Maybe the "confirmed" guilt has a bearing on this one ? The Corby debate still pops up due to perceived "possible" innocence.

I think it still pops up because both she and her family are constantly keeping her in the media. How many other prisoners anywhere are in the papers because they've had their hair cut? As soon as an article appears, the debate starts again. However I don't think it's doing her any favours any more. I think a lot of people who initially considered her innocent are now over it and couldn't give a monkeys whether she is or not or how short her hair is.

I think she's guilty (or at least a member of her family is) but I still feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for a lot of stupid kids that make bad choices.

There is a British guy in a Thai prison that I feel very sorry for, he was sentenced to 99 years (now reduced to 35 I think), he was pretty young, maybe 18 and below average intelligence. At least he admits he made a mistake though and doesn't claim he was set up.

So Michael Jackson is to be revered as a God?
Trial by media?
Don't read the hype-read the facts.
What next Ivan Milat to be cannonised as the next Saint to Backpackers around the World?
