Cane toads are a pest in Australia, and a threat to other animals. They need to be killed humanely or otherwise.
Freeze, fork or golf club them. It doesn't matter, just get rid of them.

Cats are a pest in some places? Do you advocate sticking a fork in them too, Loch? Or would that be inhumane?

Ta for all the relpies, I looked on the Qld council site and they are not regarded as pests here.
But! I understand where you are coming from when you say ' get rid of them'.
I am just concerned its not a cane toad, I will try and get a photo tonight and post it on here.

See now, that wouldn't bother me, but I'd be feeling distinctly shitty about playing a round of golf again after clubbing a load of amphibians over the back fence the night before.

The toad of course
Frozen isn't the way to eat them - lightly toasted is best

Well i just get them out of the garden (or the pool as was the case on my night swim a few days ago!!!).
OH though goes for the 3 pronged hoe - makes me feel sick when he's out there with it. He won't leave it though, uses the "they are a pest" argument.
Maybe its a man thing - testosterone - hunter deprived of prey thing
My sons say its cos I am a girl I don't like things being killed!
