Is there a need to cure the plague now?

Our base needs will always remain constant irrespective of time. The cure for Aids is not a base need essential to our survival as a species.

Its a massive need. Just like the problem caused by the massive hole in the ozone layer. Or is that a conspiracy?

Plague prevention is still required today. More and more natural disasters occurring across the world. They seem to be becoming a norm. Our basic human need to discover and create involves funding.

Actually, just rereading your posts makes me think you're on a windup.

A "wealthy" person has more money and assets that someone who isn't wealthy. Being "wealthy" is relative. You can't define it in terms of boats, houses, etc.... as it differs hugely from country to country.

You could probably say that the top 1%, or 3%, or 10% of earners in the country, are "wealthy".

Or perhaps you could talk about the assets that they own... or their equity. But it doesn't really matter- if they are at the top of the tree, then they are wealthy. Regardless of whether or not they themselves think so, or have the boats etc to prove it !

Where have you been? The hole in the ozone layer has been filling itself back in.

Overpopulation is a bigger problem facing the world than a cure for Aids or plague.

More and more disasters? Or is it more a case of greater media reporting? How naïve are you?

Let me guess, earthquakes are caused by global warming...

But think of how much money you wouldn't have to fork out to the Australian govt.

Actually Liechtenstein or Andorra sound good to me.

Sure. A friend of ours lived there until very recently - and didn't pay any tax. Not one cent. I could dig that.

It would be Monaco for me - Liechtenstein is a very strange place.

I was being kind of serious (apart from the Eastern States bit ). If you are just starting out in life then this is probably aspirational, but for someone who is older, more established, has built up some 'wealth' then it's a desirable state of affairs. I classify it as a comfortable, not wealthy lifestyle. Most of the people I have as friends live like this and I don't consider them to be wealthy.

I actually went looking for data, Apparently the first measurements were taken in 1956... and there is some contention re whether there was a hole at that time.

Anyway I ended up at this forum....http://forum.weatherzone.com.au and depressed the crap out of myself.

The vast majority of the dedicated "home weather watch hobbyists" and a fair chunk of weather scientists reckon we are definitely approaching a "flat sun" (no sun spots apparently) 60-80 year mini Ice age. Starting about now !!!

I almost wish I hadn't read the bloody thing. How bloody ironic... some decent argument in there, I wouldn't advise reading though.

Strange, what happend to global warming and rising sea levels? It does however correlate to the current global weather.
