Can you define wealth?

Re: Can you define wealth?
For Perth:
4x2 with a mortgage
2 newish cars
maybe a boat
private school fees
2 holidays a year - 1 longhaul
nice stuff in your house
not worrying about paying bills
not living month to month
modest debts
That's about it. May be different on the less affluent east coast.

And thats what I consider to be wealthy. Instead of having a bunch of things such as 2 cars and a couple of holidays a year. The money in the bank makes you wealthy.

Wealthy is when you don't have to think before you spend.
Most wealthy people probably do because the reason they're probably wealthy is that they made wise choices in the first place.

I have most of the above
hairdressers sports car instead of boat though I have a kayak and a blowup
1 long haul holiday a year with family + one UK trip home for family on my own
bills just seem to go up every year and though we can pay them we do dread some of them
do not live month to month but do have to financially plan
mortgage is now under 40% of potential current house price but still huge
no other debts
no way could afford private school fees to some school in Sydney but have daughter in Catholic school which has moderate 4000 a year fees + extras
Son had to make do with local comprehensive - he is doing well at Uni currently
Husband and I have high incomes. In comparison to others we may be rolling in it but then again around here some kids are driving brand new BMWs and Lexus on red P's.
Wealth is a subjective term so to the OP nope not wealthy in our terms but very comfortable for our life choices. Would not say no to a 20 Million lottery win.

Re: Can you define wealth?
I thought we lived in a free country. Not China.
Or a massive mortgage. Everything's relative.
Being on 200k a year and not being wealthy should mean a waste of money going on things like massive tv's a new car every year etc.
