British Expats - Camping - Powered or unpowered?

I am a kiwi and to me camping means camping.

You take a tent, a stretcher and a sleeping bag. Maybe a small BBQ powered by gas and thats about it.

Its just not camping otherwise, its 'living in a slightly outdoor situation' lol.
