Does anyone have any experience of camping on moreton island?

Camping is fairly basic on Moreton Island but that should not distract from the beauty of the place. You will need to book in advance.

Moreton island is only accessible by foot or 4WD.

An alternative, if you do not have a 4WD is:
  1. rent one
  2. hire an apartment there. Transport can be provided from the ferry to the apartment depending who you book with.

Can you hire a 4wd ON moreton island or do you have to take one you've hired on the mainland?
