our holiday booking man has just rang and siad we can have cafe pacific airline instead of quantas and he assured me for the £7 more it octs they are smiles better than quantas is this true??

I have not flown with Quantus, but everyone I have spoken to who has have only had bad things to say.
We flew with Cathey in January and they were fine.

Most Airlines flying via the far east mean having to go through London.
Emirates fly from Manchester and we did a flight to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines direct from Mcr (en route to Bali) and that was realy good (mind you there was room to spread out and that always helps).
There were a few Aussies on that flight going home I seem to remember.

Everyone I know who has flown Qantas has moaned about it, so if you have an option to fly with another carrier I'd look into it.

Yes, thats normal. E-tickets (basically just a copy of the email they will send you) need to be printed off and just taken with your passport to the check in desk.

We flew Kathy Specific and they were fine. All the announcements were in Chinese though - so make sure you locate the emergency exits before take off.
