Caboolture - QLD
 

Hello! Is there anyone out there in or around Caboolture??? We're currently living in Victoria (Mornington Peninsula) and thinking of moving to QLD for various reasons (weather, overcrowded peninsula, freezing cold sea even in summer, etc.).

We might need to commute to Brisbane for work (not sure yet) and we've been looking at Caboolture. We'd love to hear your views & experiences. We're a little bit worried about the move as we haven't been to QLD before but everyone from Victoria seems to tell us how wonderful it is up there and if they didn't have family down here they would definitely move. Has anyone done this before? We're planning a research trip soon but just want to get a feel for it.

As you can see Timber is fairly positive about the place ;) but I guess it's the same as anywhere - some love it some hate it. From what I can gather, your main problem would be the commute to Brissie.

There were pages and pages of threads that mentioned Caboolture but you'd have to spend some time going through as obviously they may not have much info on the place.

There are a fair few people up there, on here, so someone will probably be along soon to give more info.

Well funnily enough ;)

Just back from Caboolture, and have just purchased our new home, got back at 10:15pm !!

Contracts sorted, so leave it to buildings and pest now !!

And yep Ive bought in Caboolture !

Well settlement date is set at 20th March.
