Re: The C word
I like it, it's gets straight to the point like no other word can.
I have no idea why people are offended by swearing, how do words become swear words and others not?

Upton-on-Severn has a road called Minge Lane. It always used to make me laugh, except when the road sign got nicked, which happened alot.
On that note, the c word is very old and similarly used in road names. Roads used to be named for what went on in the street and Grope****** Lane was a popular name in many towns, first recorded use in the year 1230. There's a wikipedia page on it, but I can't post the link because of the rude word in the title!
I only use a swear word when it adds something to the sentence, which isn't very often. I try not to use them a lot as they become a habit.
As for the t word, that's very expressive and can be used for good effect.

Re: The C word
Ok i'm lost -what is the 't' word that some people hate so much? I've tried going through the swearword alphabet and cannot come up with something offensive beginning with T.
I don't find swearing offensive myself but i detest people swearing around the children - especially other school children
My dad swore in every sentence - the 'f' word was his best pal! Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I do agree that some celebs do overuse swearing to a point that is just sounds pathetic and obviously used for effect, but i think comedians get away with it ok and that it is acceptable.

And I don't think that words too offensive, it's more of a c-grade swear word for me.
