What is laughable of course is the likes of the above post, who pretend to hate socialism but think nothing of socialising the repair damage when private enterprise fails and profit collapses to be picked up by the tax payer. Parasites.

To further my claim above shares in the mortgage industry went up for Mortgage Choice by 14.5% and Australian Financial Group by 6.7% and Yellow Brick Road by 7.8% after the election.
The broker wallahs consider themselves off the hook now to return to 'former activities' not always in the interest of the borrower now that the Lib's have been returned.

It certainly does. The plundering of recourse's sold cheaply to outside interests, the payment of workers purely optional but not a requirement, the further corporatizing of Australia , making people commodities and customers rather than citizens with a share in the common wealth. While Scomo gets behind his former employers within the property council in subsidising house prices at tax payers expense, not to say allow banks to increase risky loaning with the knowledge the tax payers will step in if they collapse.

Palmer should pay his people if he is legally obliged to (even morally so) but absolutely nothing to do with him running a political campaign - if Getup can do it, so can he! If his advertising helped get the coalition reelected, then that's super cool. During the last election, Billy ran his Mediscare campaign - and it was highly effective. The coalition, learnt from the master of lies and did the same this time round - and it was even more effective. Guess what? Negative campaigning works! In this case the right outcome was achieved - and the country and the majority of its people will benefit
Here's to a righter, brighter future

Too many assumptions (with no basis in fact) about my opinions on your part Champ

As I have mentioned many times, obviously over blown , but only in part as medical costs in Australia get ever more expensive and out of pocket. Yet you claim second best in the world after the declining UK NH system. Wrong in both instances as with so much else. You could endeavour to leave out the ideology and actually seek out the facts and then question why do want Australia to fail so badly?

Who pays NG? Who pays First Home Buyers Grant? Who bails out the banks due to reckless lending and poor brokerage? But I admit not much of that tax as a gross total is coming from any other than the wage earner. Meanwhile services get slashed.

You really need a basic understanding of the share market but yes he did attempt to run a Presidential campaign. Sans policy but obviously who needs such irritants as actually informing the public what you hope to do. Mustn't scare the horses. Well he already owns seven houses I believe, could be more now, but have no insight into his share portfolio but sure he and his are pretty comfortable in their dealings on the market.

Sad thing being the sound ALP plan to ban trailing commissions for mortgage brokers from July 1 2020 no longer on the agenda. It appears The Royal Commission into Banking and Financial Sector was by and large a waste of tax payers money, and the industry is just waiting to return to old corrupt practise. All very sad, For housing, for the longer term economy and the country.
