Question Buying Electrical goods????

Looking for a bit more help here Guy's. Paddy's now in Brisbane, nice place seems good enough for me and her indoors is happy. Was a bit p'ddd off yesterday charged $12 for 2 half's of Stella in the South Bank, but took it on the chin.

Just wondering in and around the Brissy area, where do ya reckon is the best place to buy some electrical goods, such as a Washing machine and Fridge freezer? Just wondering if there's an Australian Curry's or Comet, so far all I see is Harvey Norman? Any good or what? Where do you get the best deal around here?

Cheer's Guy's off now for another Stella got a new place now in Brissy city centre, just $7 a pint, time now to change to an Aussie Beer, but like a baby you have to be weaned off the old Mammy's milk.

Thanks all and Best wishes.

try the good guys, and target and kmart also sell those things, now if you go in to the good guys and pay by cash or eftpos you can haggle the price with them a bit, especially if your buying a few things, and on the beer front we always drank tooheys new, vb. and if you try tooheys extra dry its a bit like stella, in fact now we're home for the time being my husbands found vb in makro, cause he dont like british beer anymore

Pubs in Australia are expensive. Perth pubs are more expensive than London. I have just got back from San Francisco where I was paying $4/pint for Guinness - brewed in Dublin too. In Perth you would pay at least double that, and it's shite.

There are plenty of electrcial retailers, Good Guys, Clive Anthony etc. Always, always, always haggle and never pay the ticket price! Have a look at the prices on here....they are generally pretty competitive:

If you're after something in particular from the store, be sure to have the details for this site handy, I've found they will normally price match. For my last fridge that was $1000 of RRP and $500 off what they were listing it at in Clive Anthony.
