Thats what I was Googling when I found that little nugget of information.... How much is an olympic gold medal worth in scrap gold....
Thought i mighht cash my one in.... If i had one... Which i havent...
And yes boss.... I thought they were solid gold.... Have been watching the ceremonies thinking... Bloody hell that must be a bitnof a weight round yer neck... Hope they've carried out the appropriate risk assessment by some one with the right ticket before doing that... Or they could be leaving themselves open to all kinds of legal issues

GB got 10 gold out of the 103 awarded.. in 1908 they got 55 out of the 108 awarded..
