Do you actually mean Brisbane?......or somewhere miles and miles away which many refer to as Brisbane?

Actually some people also refer to Ipswich and Logan as Brisbane, me having being one , but they actually aren't....

I think that threads like this are a GREAT help to them, as it does show them what is actually classed as Brisbane, and how large an area Brisbane can be.

That way they can choose their area a bit better.

Thanks for replies people, would prefer living not too far from Brisbane city but 'all that lot in blue' is cool too, so anywhere that's Greater Brisbane is helpful too. Thanks.....

Then it depends on your circumstances and what you are looking for......we need more information.

For example.....Brisbane traffic can be a pain in the arse so a long commute to work may not suit you.

Be aware that the nearer to the city you are then the more expensive it is likely to be.

As a reasonable guide, from Brisbane Centre to Victoria Point, in the South East, it is 36 kms. Travel time, by car, to get to Brisbane CBD by 8am is about 50-60 minutes.

I am aware that similar distances from other locations can take longer.

Hey, i would say preferably anything up to 80km from Brisbane city. Thanks for replies again people.

In that case, you should have a look around our area. The travel situation can't change too much, as they can't exactly build out further behind us to the East

It also doesn't get as hot in Summer
