I've just taken out insurance for my cat with Medibank Private - I think they've just started doing pet insurance and it was quite cheap. (We did get 10% off for having health insurance with them.)

I did look at Bow wow meow but one of the things I wanted was a decent amount of cover for paralysis tick bites and from memory they weren't as good as Medibank. ($1000 cover for tick bites for their Silver cover).

Might be worth looking at Medibank?

I have pet insurance with Petplan for one dog and two cats and they have been fine.

We have had two claims and they have paid out quickly and without any problems.

Dont know how they compare pricewise as I have had this insurance for a couple of years now, but at the time they were very competitive with other companies.
