Default Booking one way flight to Brisbane with stopover Singapore

We are in process of wrapping house sale up and are looking at booking flights for 3 of us for approx 21.11.07.

We want to fly Manchester - Brisbane with one nights stopover in Singapore.

Can anyone recommend a website to price this up and book ? Most websites presume you are coming back and don't give an option for a one way flight.

Also if we book through a 3rd party website to fly with Singapore Airlines, do we still qualify for the extra emigration baggage allowance ?

www.singaporeair.com
www.airline-network.co.uk
www.emirates.com
asda travel

Also often recommended are Travelmood and Trailfinders - you'll need to phone trailfinders http://www.trailfinders.com/index.htm but they're really helpful.

All the websites I've given do offer one way options

We used Flight Centre to do the same journey you will be doing with a 1 night stop over in Singers. Got the best price and they sorted out all transfers and accommodation for us!
Too easy!

Start with opodo.co.uk and go from there

Try travel supermarket ast they compare most companies prices and I'm sure they had a single option. or try the airlines direct that will probably be the cheapest it was for me (heading to melbourne for christmas unfortunately not one way)

I am finding a lot of the websites like Opodo frustrating as I can EITHER choose the option for one way OR flight plus hotel. I can't select flight plus hotel AND one way.

Have you tried calling them - if you tell them exactly what you want they'll be able to do one way. We used trailfinders in b'ham, really good and helpful, we also stopped over in Singapore, but we were told that cos we went thro immigration in Sing, we would loose our baggage allowance. we found this out 2 days before we left. After a lot of phone calls we managed to get our allowance. whoever you use, get the allowance in writing and make sure its on their system. dialaflight is another good, cheap company, have used them a few times and others couldnt beat their price.

You will normally get the best price with Singapore Airlines if you book directly with them - they are really helpful. They also do really deals on hotels in Singapore if you book with them and you get some extras like free sightseeing bus trips and discounts. You don't lose your extra luggage allowance if you stop over, but it's worth getting something in writing from them (we took a copy of an e-mail) confirming that you are entitled to the extra for when you check in again. We stopped off for over three weeks and had no problem.

If you are not actually too worried about seeing Singapore you can just stay overnight in the Singapore transit hotel with no need to go through immigration. As for the baggage allowance yes you can still get it, even if you havent booked direct with Singapore Airlines. Drop them an email and they will email you back which you can then print off to take to the airport with you. Good Luck! C x
